What is TAISF?

The purpose of the Taunton Aid in Sickness Fund (TAISF) is to provide grants to residents
within a 5 mile radius of the centre of Taunton who are ill or who have a disability. The
original area was that of the old Borough of Taunton and the civil parish of Trull.  This area has
preference should funds fail.

 TAISF supply grants for items such as:

•  Washing machines and cookers
•  Specialized furniture
•  Flooring
•  Mobility equipment
•  Long-distance hospital costs
•  Garden adaptation to make it disabled friendly
•  Other items, please email us to enquire about possible eligibility

Are you Eligible?

1. Each applicant needs to be supported by a helping agency which can administer the
money. Citizens’ Advice is one such agency, and available to all.
2. The applicant must live within 5 miles of St Mary Magdalene church, Hammett Street,
Taunton (see map)
3. The applicant needs to be of ill health and on a low income
