Claiming

The Trust aims to be fair and to use the funds to ensure that appropriate needs are met.

The Fund revenue comes from the rental of 21, Canon Street after all necessary expenses to cover maintenance of the building are met, consequently,  there is a fluctuating amount available for distribution.

The Grants Committee reports to the Trustees at each meeting and meets as a small group every three months. The Chair of the Committee can authorise smaller grants up to £500. Grants in excess of this have to be discussed with one other member of Grants Committee normally by telephone. The aim is to make decisions quickly so that money can go to the person in need as soon as possible.  Please be aware that random audit checks will be carried out periodically to ensure that all successful applicants receive the grant that is due to them and it used for the purpose for which it is intended.  The reason for these checks is so that the Fund can comply, with the terms of the scheme under which the Trustees operate and also the terms of the Charities Commission. All applying agencies will be advised before any individual applicants are contacted.

To find out if you qualify for a grant then take a look at the General Public page. This will also help you identify a professional body who will be able to make and support the application on your behalf.
